Goals and Rationale: The purpose of this project is to activate your conversational skills in a self designed setting.You are encouraged to maximize your imagination to create a skit or a Chinese dialogue based on the sitcom (such as Seinfield or other TV shows that approved by the teacher in advance).You should draw on your knowledge on the lessons that you have learned from the Integrated Chinese textbook, class notes, and online teaching materials.It is necessary to look up certain new words or expressions, but you shouldn’t use online translation programs for this project.As you complete your assignment, you will gain content knowledge of the subject and gain experience in: 1.Creating situational dialogues after reviewing all your knowledge about Chinese language and Chinese culture. 2.Reproducing a real life related Chinese skit for acting. 3.Working dynamically and effectively with your partner(s).
